ASH & CHERRY LOW TABLE

Commissioned as part of a suite of furniture for the revival of a sitting room in a fine house on the edge of Dartmoor, this table and its companion pair of side tables show off some beautiful boards of ripple ash from a tree felled in the Norbury Park Reserve in the Surrey Hills.  The continuous frame of English cherry that runs around it is attached with precisely turned pegs of bog oak.
