WALNUT TWO DRAWER TABLE

I made this piece, in American black walnut, very early in my furniture-making life, and like all early work it is brim full of ideas, from the flared edges of the table top to the inlaid sycamore cross-banding and the painstakingly shaped ebony pulls.  Nevertheless I think it manages to hold it all together and the result is calm and understated.
